BLS (Basic Life Support)

BLS ambulances are staffed by two EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians). Our EMTs are trained to assess patients, maintain basic airway, administer oxygen, suction patients, monitor non-medicated IV infusions, maintain immobilization devices and provide CPR. These are just a few of the skills our EMTs practice on a daily basis. Additionally, our EMTs are equipped with a special ambulance driver’s license to transfer patients to and from facilities and home in a careful manner. When medically necessary our BLS units are capable of upgrading to a code 3 transport.

CCT (Critical Care Transport)

Falcon provides the most innovative and responsive critical care transportation (ACLS). We strategically deploy our CCT units throughout our service areas. Our units are equipped with cardiac monitors/defibrillators, multichannel infusion pumps, pulse oximetry, ventilators and medications, allowing Falcon to function as a rolling intensive care unit.

Our team operated under the most progressive protocols and standing orders, led by a team of the most well respected physicians in emergency medicine. Our nurses have extensive knowledge and experience in their clinical specialty (Emergency, Critical Care, and Transport Nursing) and function under an expanded scope of practice. Upon hire, nurses must pass an extensive orientation and filed training program that focuses on transport, trauma, pediatrics and pre-hospital care. Falcon is a major supporter of continuing education. We require our nurses to maintain certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
